HBO announces premiere date for star-studded

PanARMENIAN.Net - HBO has announced a premiere date for its upcoming miniseries "Big Little Lies". The series, which stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley, will debut on Sunday, February 19 at 9 P.M. ET, AceShowbiz said.

Based on Liane's Moriarty 2014 best-selling book, the seven-episode series tells the story of three mothers (Jane, Madeline and Celeste) of kindergartners whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder. The previously released teaser hinted at a dark and sexy story with glimpses of sex and emotional scenes, police sirens flashing, the ocean and a gunshot.

The dark comedy series is directed by Jean-Marc Vallee ("Wild", "Dallas Buyers Club") and written by David E. Kelley ("The Practice", "Boston Legal", "Ally McBeal"). The series is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea, Nicole Kidman, Per Saari and David E. Kelly.

"Big Little Lies" also stars Alexander Skarsgard as Perry Wright, Laura Dern as Renata Klein, Adam Scott as Ed Mackenzie, Zoe Kravitz as Bonnie Carlson, James Tupper as Nathan and Larry Sullivan as Oren.
