Azerbaijan employs mortars, sniper rifles in ceasefire violations

PanARMENIAN.Net - 90 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered along the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh overnight on December 2-3.

In the reporting period, Azeri troops fired more than 1000 shots from various caliber firearms towards the Karabakh positions.

Violations were especially intense in the eastern direction of the frontline, with the Azeris using sniper rifles and 60-mm mortars.

To suppress the rival's attacks, Karabakh defense army units took necessary measures to continue controlling the situation on the contact line.

The situation is calm at the moment, the Defense Army says.
