Samuel L Jackson kicks off work on “The Incredibles 2”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Voice work on Pixar's long-anticipated sequel The Incredibles 2 has officially begun, and the 'incredible' news comes courtesy of one of the film's stars, Samuel L Jackson, Digital Spy said.

The legendary actor played Lucius Best/Frozone in the 2004 original and will be returning for the franchise's second outing.

"It's about to go down," said the star. "First recording session for.... INCREDIBLES 2!!!!"

Back in October, Pixar revealed that it was switching the release date of The Incredibles 2 with Toy Story 4, meaning the superhero follow-up will be flying into cinemas on June 15, 2018, instead of June 21, 2019 as planned. Which is still a whopping 15 years after the release of the original, Digital Spy said.

Back in 2014, Jackson told Digital Spy that he had been talking to the film's director Brad Bird about his character's return to the franchise.

"Every time I run into Brad, he always tells me Frozone is part of what's going on, so I have to believe that," he said.

"I guess they could be the Incredibles without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what's already there."

The Incredibles 2 will be flying into cinemas on June 15, 2018.
