Highly-anticipated "Ant-Man" sequel to star filming in June

PanARMENIAN.Net - Scheduled for a July 6, 2018 release, "Ant-Man and the Wasp" will start filming in the first half of this year. The highly-anticipated "Ant-Man" sequel will begin filming in June, AceShowbiz said citing My Entertainment World. The filming location is likely in Pinewood Atlanta Studios, where the first movie was filmed.

Marvel also used Pinewood Atlanta Studios to shoot other superhero movies namely Chris Evans' "Captain America: Civil War", Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt's "Passengers (2016)" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".

Paul Rudd ("The Fundamentals of Caring") will be once again playing Scott Lang/Ant-Man, along with Evangeline Lilly ("The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies") who will play Hope Van Dyne a.k.a. The Wasp. Michael Pena ("Collateral Beauty") was also recently confirmed to reprise his role as Luis. Meanwhile, it is still unconfirmed whether David Dastmalchian, T.I. and Michael Douglas will return for the sequel. Rumor has it, Sharon Stone is added to the cast to play a mysterious character whom many speculated to be the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne, the wife of Hank Pym and the mother of Hope Van Dyne.

The upcoming superhero movie, which will tell the origin story of the Wasp, will still be directed by Peyton Reed, with a screenplay by Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer.
