Ellen DeGeneres breaks People's Choice Awards record with 20th win

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ellen DeGeneres has made history at the 2017 People's Choice Awards. The comedienne is officially a person with the most PCAs in the show's history, after winning three nods at the ongoing ceremony. She won Favorite Daytime TV host, Favorite Animated Movie Voice and Favorite Comedic Collaboration on Wednesday night, January 18, AceShowbiz said.

The PCAs celebrated DeGeneres' record-breaking achievement by playing a montage of her previous wins and displaying all 20 of her trophies on stage. Justin Timberlake introduced the TV host as "one of the best people on this planet."

"She's a trailblazer, a rule-breaker, a relentless philanthropist, a presidential medal of freedom winner and one of the funniest and most talented people on the planet," the "Can't Stop the Feeling!" singer said onstage. "I'm talking, of course, about Portia's baby momma, Ellen DeGeneres!" He added, "She continues to make history by officially winning the most People's Choice Awards by any human, ever."

DeGeneres jokingly said in her speech, "I say thank you, people. And the only thing that would make me happier-and not, not a lot happier because this makes me happy-but if it was voted on my animals because I love animals, and I think they know how much I love them. But animals aren't organized enough to have an awards ceremony. At least I have not seen one."

She added, "And they have paws so it would hit a lot of numbers and it wouldn't be able to dictate the person that they would be hoping to vote for."
