Anne Hathaway to join Rebel Wilson in "Nasty Women" comedyJanuary 20, 2017 - 15:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Anne Hathaway is in talks with MGM to join Rebel Wilson in "Nasty Women". The movie is a gender-reversed version of 1988's comedy "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", which featured Steve Martin and Michael Caine and was directed by Frank Oz. The title "Nasty Woman" alludes to Donald Trump's insult on Hillary Clinton during presidential debate in 2016, AceShowbiz said. While "Nasty Women" plot details haven't been revealed yet, it may center on a pair of con artists who swindle a tech prodigy out of his fortune. Hathaway and Wilson are set play the con artists, the roles originally played by Martin and Caine in 1988's "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". Deadline reports that "Nasty Women" will be produced by Pin High Productions' Roger Birnbaum and Wilson's Camp Sugar Production. Jac Schaeffer will write the script based on "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" script. Hathaway reprised her role as White Queen last year in "Alice Through the Looking Glass". She also becomes a lead character in "Colossal", in which she plays an unemployed woman who somehow thinks she can control a monster. Currently, she is filming "Ocean's Eleven" spinoff, "Ocean's Eight". Wilson appeared in ensemble romantic comedy "How to Be Single" last year.
