Karabakh serviceman killed in Azerbaijani fire

PanARMENIAN.Net - On Sunday, January 22, at around 10:25pm, Nagorno Karabakh serviceman Karen Ulubabyan (b. 1995) was killed in an Azerbaijani attack on the contact line.

An investigation into the details of the incident is underway, the Karabakh army said.

Also, more than 55 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered on the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh on January 22-23.

Azeri troops, in particular, employed large-caliber firearms, 82-mm mortars and sniper rifles to fire some 800 shots.

To suppress the rival's attacks, the Karabakh Defense Army troops retaliated and continued protecting their positions.
