Sónar Reykjavik announces more names for the 2017 winter fest

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sónar Reykjavik have announced more names for the 2017 winter festival, Gigwise reveals.

Set by the harbor in the beautiful Harpa Concert Hall, newly announced Giggs and BBC Sound of 2017 nominee Nadia Rose will perform at the event in February.

The new names join the likes of Fatboy Slim, Moderat, Sleigh Bells, De La Soul, B. Traits and many more, who will take to the stage in Iceland.

Now in its fifth year, organisers say the event "celebrates its striking contrasts" and that the lineup "combines some of the most celebrated names from the world of electronica alongside cutting-edge underground artists who are shaping the genre’s future."

New addition Nadia Rose, the rising star of grime and cousin of Stormzy, went in at number 5 on the BBC Sound of 2017 list. The 23 year old rapper was joined in the top 5 by Rag 'N' Bone Man and winner Ray BLK.

Sónar Reykjavik will take place over four stages at the Harpa venue, which is described as one of Europe's most unique performance spaces.

The three day festival will take place February 16 - 18.
