Batch of Russian weapons already shipped to Armenia: Minister

PanARMENIAN.Net - Part of the $200 million-worth weapons to be supplied from Russia is already in Armenia, Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan told reporters on Friday, January 27.

"I can't reveal the list of weapons to be delivered as it is strictly confidential, but I can say that a batch has already reached Armenia," Sargsyan said.

"The process is still underway, and we're committed to receiving the armor as soon as possible, as it is directly related to the combat readiness of our army."

The Russian government granted Armenia a $200 million loan for the purchase of military products. Under the terms of the 10-year export loan Armenia will have to pay 10% for all purchases, with the rest to be covered by the credit.
