Armenia to open Consulate General in Iraqi Kurdistan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian and Iraqi Kurdistan's president Masoud Barzani discussed on Friday, February 17 the establishment of a General Consulate in Erbil.

Meeting in Munich, the two reviewed bilateral ties, as well as trade and economic relations between Armenia and the Kurdistan Region.

Barzani briefed Nalbandian on the latest developments in the fight against terrorism in Iraq.

Also, the sides weighed in on urgent issues of international and regional importance.
