New “Alien: Covenant” pic confirms James Franco's castingFebruary 22, 2017 - 10:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - 20th Century Fox has just released "Alien: Covenant" new image through its official Twitter and Instagram accounts. The photo features the movie's crew and cast members, including James Franco who is absent from the official trailer, AceShowbiz said. The photo therefore confirms that Franco will make an appearance in the "Prometheus" sequel and possibly plays Covenant's original captain. In the photo, Franco stands right in the middle of the group in what seems like a spacecraft's room. Before him is a large table surrounded by the movie's crew and cast members. Among them are Katherine Waterston and Michael Fassbender who stand at the front left and right side of the table respectively. The photo comes with an announcement that a special sneak peek will be aired during TV show "Legion" on FX on February 22. "Alien: Covenant" is helmed by Ridley Scott and follows the story of colony ship Covenant which travels to a planet faraway. The crew think they will discover an uncharted paradise in that planet, but they find dark and dangerous world instead. The science fiction horror film is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on May 19. Also starring in "Alien: Covenant" are Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir and Carmen Ejogo. Noomi Rapace will reprise her role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw from "Prometheus".
