Liam Cunningham reveals “Game of Thrones” season 7 air date?

PanARMENIAN.Net - Winter has been coming for a long time, but fans may not have to wait much longer for season seven of Game of Thrones, according to Liam Cunningham, Daily Express said.

The actor, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth, told The Independent: "I've been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April. It's July now, I think."

This comes off the back of recent plot developments which demand a darker and more wintery backdrop, meaning the show's filming schedule was pushed back to later in the year.

Liam added that the wait will be worthwhile, saying: "There's going to be a launch and something special happening this year for the premiere. The bad news is, there will only be seven episodes and the final season starts [filming] again as far as I know in September."

Since gaining attention for his comments, the 55-year-old has distanced himself from his alleged air date, posting on his Twitter account: "Davos doesn't know date. Mongo only pawn in Game Of Thrones #gameofthronesseason7."

This follows recent speculation fuelled by IMDb which suggested that the first episode of season seven will air "25 June 2017".
