On Wednesday, March 22, Hovhannissian met Congressman David G. Valadao, Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from California’s 21st congressional district, which includes Fresno County, home to a large Armenian community. Valadao is a co-chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus. Also Wednesday, the ambassador discussed a number of issues of concern to the Armenian community with Republican Congressman Dave Trott, representing Michigan’s 11th congressional district - another co-chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus. Ambassador Hovhannissian also met Republican Congressman Doug Lamborn from Colorado’s 5th congressional district, who is also a member of the Armenian Caucus.
