Natalie Portman to star in female empowerment tale “Bronco Belle”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Natalie Portman is set to star as a bull rider in "Bronco Belle", which is described as a Rocky-esque female empowerment tale. The movie will be directed by "The Fits" helmer Anna Rose Holmer while Khurram Longi pens the script, AceShowbiz reports citing Deadline.

"Bronco Belle" tells the story of Raylene Jackson (Portman), a "stubborn but vulnerable and determined American woman" with dreams of champion bull riding. She then struggles to do her best to be taken seriously in the male-dominated sport and she won't let any chauvinists let herself down.

This is not the first time the "Black Swan" actress works together with Holmer. The "Jackie" star has recently starred in a Holmer-directed music video for James Blake's "My Willing Heart". The black-and-white video features Portman showing off her pregnant figure underwater.

Portman was recently seen in "Song to Song" alongside Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara and Michael Fassbender. As of now, the "Thor" actress is in post-production of sci-fi thriller "Annihilation" and "The Death and Life of John F. Donovan" opposite Kit Harington, Jessica Chastain and Susan Sarandon.
