Armenia’s YELQ bloc links possible election victory with voter loyalty

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian lawmaker, YELQ bloc number 3 Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday, March 30 that should all the citizens keep their promise and vote for YELQ, the alliance will win in parliamentary elections.

Elections to the National Assembly will be held on Sunday, with nine parties and blocs running for seats at the parliament.

According to Pashinyan, the bloc’s campaign was quite successful, while communication with voters demonstrated the positive atmosphere, created around the alliance.

“If you vote for Serzh Sargsyan, you are going to live in the reality he has created, while choosing YELQ will bring about changes,” Panorama.am cited him as saying.

Commenting on the bloc’s possible cooperation with certain political forces after the elections, Pashinyan said they haven’t and won’t name any particular parties.

“Our estimates show that the Republican Party, Tsarukyan bloc and YELQ will make it to the National Assembly where we’ll witness a broad coalition of the first two forces,” he said.
