Tatev Hakobyan wins European Weightlifting Championships bronze

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tatev Hakobyan of Armenia claimed the -95kg bronze at the Senior European Weightlifting Championships in Split, Croatia on Friday, April 7.

The 21-year-old athlete lifted a total of 230 kg above her head, also managing to snatch a small bronze medal.

Diana Mstieva of Russia narrowly won the gold medal with an overall score of 241kg - 109kg in the snatch section and 132kg in the clean and jerk.

Valentyna Kisil of Ukraine missed out on the gold, finishing 1kg behind her Russian opponent.

Earlier, Sona Poghosyan had also claimed a bronze medal in the the -75kg weigh category.
