Aronian, Carlsen draw in Round 2 of Grenke Chess Classic

PanARMENIAN.Net - A match between Armenia's Levon Aronian and Magnus Carlsen of Norway in the second round of the Grenke Chess Classic in Karlsruhe, Germany ended in a draw.

Hou Yifan of China leads the tournament after two rounds, followed by Carlsen, Fabiano Caruana (U.S.), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), Aronian and Arkadij Naiditsch (Azerbaijan), who share the 2-6th positions, whileMatthias Blübaum and Georg Meier, both from Germany, share the 7th-8th spots.

Former champions include Carlsen and Viswanathan Anand of India.
