Truck driver jailed in Russia to be extradited to Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian driver Hrachya Harutyunyan who is serving his term in the Russian city of Tombov for causing a deadly road crash in Podolsk will be extradited to Armenia, Aysor.am reports.

18 people died after his truck ran into a passenger bus in an outlying area of Moscow. The accident occurred when the truck plowed into the side of the bus near the Oznobishino settlement.

Armenia’s deputy justice minister Vigen Kocharyan, who confirmed the news, said it’s early to speak about the dates of Harutyunyan’s transfer.
