Azerbaijan fires 1750 shots in ceasefire violations overnight

PanARMENIAN.Net - More than 100 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan were registered on the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) on May 19 and the following night, with around 1750 shots fired from various caliber firearms.

Besides, Azeri forces also employed a grenade launcher and a 60-mm mortar in various directions of the frontline.

Artsakh defense army troops took retaliatory measures to suppress the rival's attacks.

A Nagorno Karabakh soldier, Karen Danielyan (b. 1996) received a fatal gunshot wound in Azerbaijan's cross-border fire on Saturday, May 20, at around 7:20 am.

An investigation into the details of the incident is underway.
