Levon Aronian wins Norway Chess tournament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Levon Aronian won the Stavanger-hosted Norway Chess tournament on Friday, June 16, snatching six points out of possible nine.

Runner-up Hikaru Nakamura lost to Fabiano Caruana but still tied for second place with Vladimir Kramnik, who beat Anish Giri quickly.

Shortly after the event ended, it turned out that Aronian has climbed three spots to the 4th position on the FIDE rankings.
