Macron's year-old Republique en Marche (Republic on the Move, REM) and their allies won 351 seats in the 577-seat National Assembly, final results showed after the second round of an election which has eliminated many high-profile figures.

According to French-Armenian public figure Arman Avakian, Jacques Marilosian from Paris, Daniel Kazarian from Lyon, Guillaume Kasbarian from Chartres were elected lawmakers.

Avakian said in a Facebook post that this the first time that three Armenians make it to the French parliament all at once.
