Armenia NA approves govt. program despite objection from opposition![]() June 22, 2017 - 12:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Assembly on Thursday, June 22 approved the government program of Armenia's sustainable development for 2017-2022, despite resistance from opposition groups. With a vote of 64:31, no abstentions, the Republican Party (RPA) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation - Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) voted in favor of the measure. The two opposition blocs represented in the parliament - Yelk and Tsarukyan - voted against the program. The government on Monday approved its own program, which consists of four sections: public administration and legal system, foreign and defense policy, economic progress, and social sector. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
