President says ‘doesn’t matter’ who will be Armenia PM in 2018July 17, 2017 - 13:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President Serzh Sargsyan on Monday, July 17 said it doesn’t matter who will be Armenia’s prime minister in 2018. In an interview on Armenia TV, Sargsyan said he hasn’t picked the next field of activity he wants to get involved in the near future. “I have plenty of time, and it doesn't matter, does it,” Sargsyan said. He reminded that after the elections to the National Assembly held across the country on April 2 Armenia has shifted to a parliamentary system of government. “Whichever party holds the majority in the parliament will nominate a candidate for the PM’s post,” he said. The Armenian opposition has been insisting on some clarity about the position of the prime minister after Sargsyan’s term as president ends in 2018.
