Armenia, Iran mull regular Yerevan-Kish island flights

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia and Iran may establish regular flights from Yerevan's Zvartnots airport to the island of Kish in the Islamic Republic.

Deputy chief of the General Department of Civil Aviation Arsen Poghosyan on Tuesday, July 18 discussed the issue with the managing director of Kish Airlines Mohammad-Taqi Jadidi.

At the meeting, the Armenian side suggested that the Iranian carrier considers launching regular flights to Gyumri's Shirak airport too.

Kish is a resort island in the Persian Gulf off the southern coast of Iran and is the fourth most visited vacation destination in Southwest Asia after Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Sharm el-Sheikh.
