Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. in “Hitman's Bodyguard” trailer (video) July 19, 2017 - 15:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Lionsgate has released a new trailer for "The Hitman's Bodyguard" for fans' viewing pleasure. The more-than-1-minute trailer features Ryan Reynolds as a triple-A-rated executive protection agent named Michael who is tasked with guarding the life of his mortal enemy Darius, played by Samuel L. Jackson, AceShowbiz said. It opens with Michael talking on the phone presumably with his fling, an Interpol agent named Amelia (Elodie Yung), as he sits on the passenger seat in a car without wearing a seat belt. While Michael has yet to finish talking, Darius, who sits behind the wheel, suddenly hits the brake, causing the bodyguard to be thrown out of their vehicle. "What happened to the seat belt rule?" Darius yells at Michael. The trailer then shows the unlikely duo being involved in more dangerous, bullet-filled car chases with a group of killers under the command of Vladislav Dukhovich (Gary Oldman), a merciless Eastern Euripean dictator. But no worries, Darius' wife (Salma Hayek) says that he's "unkillable." Directed by Patrick Hughes, "Hitman's Bodyguard" is due out in theaters across the nation on August 18. The action comedy film follows Michael who is tasked with guarding the life of one of the world's most notorious hitmen, Darius, and taking him from England to the International Court of Justice. On their way, they are on high-speed car chases and boat escapes as deadly assassins are pursuing them. They are forced to work together in order to defeat a ruthless, powerful and bloodthirsty Eastern European dictator.
