YouTube getting rid of its video editor due to lack of use

PanARMENIAN.Net - YouTube is getting rid of its video editor and photo slideshows due to lack of use, the company announced on Thursday, July 20, according to The Verge.

The changes won’t happen until September 20, so if you still rely on YouTube to edit your videos, you’ll have a bit of time before you have to find a new service.

Apparently YouTubers didn’t bother to use the video editor, opting to use more popular editors like Apple’s Final Cut X and Adobe Premiere instead.

The company says enhancements like trim, blur, and filter will still be available through YouTube’s Video Manager once the editor is removed.

As for photo slideshows, a thing I didn’t know existed until right now — which should tell you all there is to know about that — Instagram and Facebook exist, so there’s no point keeping that around either.
