Comic-Con: Netflix greenlights “Iron Fist” for season 2

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Marvel's Iron Fist" will be back for another season. Netflix has given the green light for season 2 of the Marvel superhero series starring Finn Jones. The announcement was made by Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday evening, July 21, according to AceShowbiz.

Loeb additionally hinted that Simone Missick's "Luke Cage" character Misty Knight would make appearance in the second season of "Iron Fist". The NYPD detective and Iron Fist a.k.a. Danny Rand first teamed up in the comic books.

"Iron Fist" was the fourth Marvel-Netflix series to be released. Unlike its predecessors, "Iron Fist" debuted to middling critical reviews. The series premiere earned a 37 on Metacritic. The show sparked controversy way before the premiere, with the casting of Finn Jones in the role of Danny Rand, who is an Asian-American in the source material.

Iron Fist, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will team up on "Marvel's The Defenders", which is set to be released on August 18 on the streaming service.
