Prince William and Harry will appear in 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'

PanARMENIAN.Net - John Boyega couldn't keep the secret anymore. The actor, who will reprise his role as Finn in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", has confirmed that Prince William and Prince Harry indeed have cameo roles in the upcoming movie, AceShowbiz reports.

During an interview for BBC Radio4 on Friday, August 18, Boyega was asked whether the U.K. royals were given lines in the film while filming their cameos as Stormtroopers. "I think they took that scene out," he replied.

"I've had enough with those secrets," he added with a laugh. "They came on set. They were there. I'm sick of hiding it. I think it was leaked, anyway. There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it. I'm tired of dodging it. They were there. Tom Hardy was there too."

Boyega said that "Dunkirk" star Tom Hardy also has a cameo role in "The Last Jedi". Hardy and the two U.K. princes won't be the first A-listers who make cameos in a "Star Wars" film though, since Daniel Craig had a secret cameo and delivered a brief line as a Stormtrooper in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

"The Last Jedi", directed by Rian Johnson, has completed production and is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on December 15. Daisy Ridley returns as Rey, Mark Hamill is back as Luke, and Carrie Fisher filmed what would be her final appearance as General Leia before her sudden passing.

Other returning cast includes Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Dohmnall Gleeson as General Hux, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Andy Serkis as Snoke. Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran are among the new cast members.
