Russia, Armenia agree list of joint army troops

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia and Armenia have determined the composition of troops that will operate in the framework of the United Regional Air Defense System in the Caucasus region of collective security, first deputy commander of Russia's Air and Space Forces Lieutenant-General Pavel Kurachenko said on Tuesday, September 5, according to RIA Novosti.

"The list of forces allocated by Russia and Armenia to the United Regional Air Defense System has been determined," Kurachenko said at a meeting of the Air Defense Coordination Committee.

According to him, the preparation of documents on the practical implementation of the agreement has already begun.

The deal was signed in Moscow on December 23, 2015 and is sealed for a period of 5 years with the possibility of automatic extension of 5-year periods.
