Sargsyan: Karabakh and Kosovo took different ways to independence

PanARMENIAN.Net - Proclamation of Kosovo's independence is not a precedent for Nagorno Karabakh. But at the same time it's a positive message for NKR population, Armenian Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan said.

"Nagorno Karabakh and Kosovo took different ways to independence. Karabakh has been independent for 17 years, although no one has recognized it yet. The USSR laws allowed secession. Karabakh proclaimed independence when Azerbaijan seceded from the Soviet Union," Mr Sargsyan said, Reuters reports.
