Armenia significantly strengthened its foreign policy positions: expert

PanARMENIAN.Net - Intensive geopolitical processes change the balance of power in many regions. Some countries have managed to seriously strengthen their positions literally within 2-3 years, Ukrainian columnist, historian Evgeniy Safaryans said in an interview with AnalitikaUA.net.

According to the expert, Armenia is among the countries that have significantly advanced their foreign policy positions.

The procedure, according to him, was also facilitated by the new agreement that Armenia and the European Union signed on November 24, after which the process of forming a new platform for the development of political and economic cooperation between Yerevan and Brussels began.

Weighing in on the topic of European values, the Ukrainian expert noted that the three-day visit of Pope Francis to Armenia showed its role as the first country to have adopted Christianity as a state religion and an indivisible part of the European civilization.

In 2018, he said, Armenia’s positions will strengthen even more as Yerevan will host La Francophonie Summit, which will be attended by the leaders of many countries.
