MEMORIAL TO VICTIMS OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN 1915 OPENED IN CANNES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Opening of a memorial to victims of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 1915 and Armenians, who had given their lives for France in two World Wars, was held in Cannes. The memorial is located in the city main avenue - Crauset wharf, where the Cannes festival is traditionally held. Armenian ambassador to France Eduard Nalbandian, Cannes mayor Bernard Brochand, Senate deputies and others were present at the opening ceremony. E.Nalbandian emphasized in his speech that such measures are "a call for vigilance against extremism and intolerance."
