Vice-Chairman of the Republic of Armenia energy commission Nikolay Grigorian stated it. In his opinion, there is no alternative to the atomic plant before that time. Much attention is paid to the Armenian nuclear plant security, and similar stations are now normally functioning on the entire CIS territory, he noted. Atomic energy makes 40% of the overall electric power being produced in the republic, Grigorian emphasized.
