Aznavour, Jigarkhanyan, Bitov, Spivakov receive Karot award

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first-ever Karot award ceremony took place in the State Kremlin Palace in the framework Days of Armenian Culture in Moscow festival.



French singer of Armenian origin Charles Aznavour, actor Armen Jigarkhanyan, writer Andrey Bitov and conductor of the Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra Vladimir Spivakov received the award for their contribution to development of Armenian culture and art.



The renowned French singer could not attend the ceremony. The statuette in form of a vine will be handed to him later, in the Russian Embassy in Paris.
