Armenian airline owner allegedly vows to launch Gyumri-LA flights

PanARMENIAN.Net - The owner of Taron-Avia has allegedly promised to launch direct flights from the Armenian city Gyumri to Los Angeles, mayor of Gyumri Samvel Balasanyan told reporters on Monday, December 24, Aravot.am reports.

When asked whether there were plans of setting up direct flights from the northern Armenian town to California, Balasanyan gave a positive response.

“Aircraft of various weight and size can land at Shirak airport in Gyumri, the runway is well-built,” the mayor said.

According to him, both the arrival and departure halls need to be expanded as new investment is being made in the airport.

The terminal itself has been renovated lately, with more buildings and facilities offering more services built nearby, Balasanyan said.
