Pashinyan named Politician of the Year, according to Vedomosti readers

PanARMENIAN.Net - Editors and readers of the Russian-language business daily Vedomosti have chosen the person of the year in six categories. According to readers, acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was recognized as the Politician of the Year 2018.

In addition to Pashinyan, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian and U.S. presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and head of the Republic of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov were also considered for the award.

Editors, meanwhile, voted in favor of Merkel.

The publication also offers a brief recap of the velvet revolution in April-May 2018 in Armenia, the election of Pashinyan as Prime Minister, the early parliamentary elections in the country and the landslide victory of Pashinyan's My step movement in the vote.
