Azerbaijani demonstrators attack Armenians in London

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani demonstrators have attacked a group of Armenians who were chanting "Hayastan" (Armenia) near the Embassy of Yerevan in London.

ARF London activist Grigor Kupelian shared a video on his Twitter account which shows the scuffle in the center of London.

A young Azerbaijani woman is seen approaching the Armenian group and snatching a poster, and chaos ensues afterwards.

The Azerbaijani demonstrators had surrounded the building of the Armenian Embassy in London, while the Armenians had gathered to protect the building from being attacked.

Other videos posted on social media show London police trying to keep the two groups of protesters separate.

The situation on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan escalated on July 12, with Azerbaijan having launched three unsuccessful infiltration attempts since that day. The Azerbaijani military has also been firing on the Armenian positions, and using large caliber grenade launchers and combat drones to target civilian homes in several border settlements. Four servicemen of the Armenian army have been killed, while Azerbaijan has reported 12 deaths.
