  Vice Chief of Armenian Police shot dead in YerevanFebruary 3, 2009 - 20:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Vice Chief of Armenian Police Gevorg Mheryan was shot dead at the door of his apartment in 65, Barbyus str., Yerevan, on February 3 evening.An unknown fired one shot into Mheryan's chest and three shots into his head. The investigators found eight 9mm cartridges and four pistols at the site. A criminal case in compliance with article 104.2 and article 235.1 of the Armenian Penal Code was initiated. An operational investigative group consisting of police officers and national security officers was formed.
