  Minister: IT sector accounted for 2․4% of Armenia's GDP in 2019 August 26, 2020 - 15:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The IT sector accounted for 2․4% of Armenia's GDP in 2019, Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan has revealed. The country's economy expanded by 7.6% in the previous year. "We believe that the privileges enjoyed by the high-tech industry are relevant and justified," Arshakyan has said. "It encourages companies to come up with new ideas." The Ministry of High-Tech Industry is implementing programs to help mitigate the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
