Coronavirus: Armenia reports record daily rise in new infections, deaths

PanARMENIAN.Net - The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 1836 to reach 68,530 on Wednesday, October 21 morning – a record number of new infections in a single day – according to information provided by the Health Ministry.

Fresh figures also revealed that 485 more people have recovered, 20 patients have died from Covid-19, while three others carrying the virus died from other reasons in the past 24 hours.

A total of 4340 tests have been performed in the past day, the National Center For Disease Control and Prevention said.

So far, 49,219 people have recovered, 1121 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 321 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
