Spain completes ratification of Armenia-EU dealDecember 2, 2020 - 19:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Spain has completed the ratification of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement signed between Armenia and the European Union in late 2017, the Armenian Foreign Ministry revealed on Wednesday, December 2. Madrid notified the General Secretariat of the European Council and the Council of the EU about the completion of its internal procedures necessary for the ratification of the deal on November 30, the Armenian side added. The agreement provides for a comprehensive framework for Armenia and the EU to work together. The deal will broaden and deepen the EU's relationship with Armenia and provide for closer cooperation in economic, trade and political areas in addition to enhanced sectoral policies.
