Azerbaijani citizen detained in border Armenian village

PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Security Service has arrested a citizen of Azerbaijan in the border village of Berdavan in Armenia's Tavush province, Aysor.am reports.

An NSS representative revealed that an Azeri man illegally crossed the Armenian border, but the Armenian law enforcement authorities discovered him and took him in custody.

“The person has status of a suspect. No other information may be provided given that a preliminary investigation is underway,” the NSS official said.
