Youri Djorkaeff will spending Christmas with Karabakh children

PanARMENIAN.Net - FIFA World Cup winner, French-Armenian football player Youri Djorkaeff will be spending the Christmas with the children of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The kids will receive tablets as Christmas gifts so that they can attend classes remotely, Armenia's Public TV reports.

“The French government has been providing humanitarian aid to Armenians in the past two months. President [Emmanuel] Macron is personally involved in the logistics. I was in Armenia in December, and decided to return for Christmas,” Djorkaeff said after his plane landed at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan.

"France and Armenia have always enjoyed good relations. We have prepared a surprise for the children of Artsakh. My visit is also aimed at boosting the development of education.”
