"CAUCASIAN FOUR" STATES PARLIAMENTARY LEADERS MEETING STARTED IN SAINT PETERSBURG TODAYJuly 15, 2002 - 19:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The meeting of the parliamentary leaders of the "Caucasian four" states (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Russia) has begun in Saint Petersburg today. A number of region issues, particularly, the Russian-Georgian relations and the issue on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement will be discussed. The heads of the parliaments of Armenia - Armen Khachatrian, Azerbaijan -Murtuz Aleskerov, Georgia - Nino Burjanadze, Russia - Sergey Mironov, will participate in the meeting. It should be reminded, earlier in Moscow, the Federation Council of Russia chairman Sergey Mironov stated, the regular meetings of the heads of the parliaments of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia would make for the overcoming the political problems among these countries. He stated, as it was planned, the "tete-a-tete" meetings would take place at least once three months.Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
