Russian gas will arrive in Armenia through Azerbaijan for three weeks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian gas will arrive in Armenia through Azerbaijan for some three weeks as the North Caucasus–Transcaucasia gas pipeline is being repaired, Gazprom Export reports.

“During preventive maintenance work on the North Caucasus - Transcaucasia gas pipeline, Russian gas will be supplied to consumers through the territory of Azerbaijan,” the company said Wednesday, March 17.

“Gazprom Export and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan on March 16 signed a short-term contract for the transportation of Russian gas through the territory of Azerbaijan.”

In the period agreed upon by the sides, gas will reach the Georgian border through the territory of Azerbaijan. "The work can take about three weeks. After completion, gas will be transported along the previous route – across the border of the Russian Federation and Georgia," Gazprom Export added.
