Armenians win FIDE University Online Chess ChampionshipsMarch 19, 2021 - 18:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Hayk Martirosyan and Anna Sargsyan, both representing Armenia, were named the winners of the First FIDE World University Online Chess Championships. Competing in the men's group, Martirosyan did not suffer a single defeat throughout the tournament and, having gained 5.5 points out of 7 possible, became the winner of the event with additional points. Sargsyan, meanwhile, scored 6 points in 7 rounds of the women's championship to top the standings. Armenia's current champion Hovhannes Gabuzyan to participated in the tournament to take the 6th place.
