Iceland congratulate Armenia on World Cup qualifiers win

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Football Association of Iceland has congratulated Armenia on their 2:0 victory in a match within the 2022 World Cup qualifying round.

"Full credit to [the Football Federation of Armenia], they put up one hell of a fight in Yerevan. We must do better, and we will. On to the next game," the Association said Sunday, March 28.

The Armenian Football Federation reacted to the message with a tweet of its own, thanking the Icelandic team for a beautiful match: "See you in October."

The score was 0-0 at the end of the first half. In second half, Armenia's Tigran Barseghyan sent a precise shot into the far left corner of Iceland net in the 53rd minute, while substitute Khoren Bayramyan doubled the score in the 74th minute.
