The member of the European Parliament weighed in on the purpose of his visit – to learn more about the post-war situation, the problems facing Armenians in particular, the issues of preservation of the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The Catholicos unveiled in detail the damage caused by the Second Artsakh War and the challenges facing the people, expressing hope that the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan will receive a proper response from the international community and the European Parliament.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days.
