Kocharyan's bloc to take "use of administrative resources" to top court

Kocharyan's bloc to take

PanARMENIAN.Net - Hayastan (Armenia) bloc does not recognize the results of elections to the National Assembly and is going to take the matter to the Constitutional Court, member of the alliance, former governor of Syunik Vahe Hakobyan said on Monday, June 21, Pastinfo reports.

Caretaker Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party won 53.92% of the vote, while Hayastan (Armenia) bloc headed by second President Robert Kocharyan secured 21.4% of the ballots. "I Have Honor" bloc too will get seats in the parliament.

"The results of elections were unexpected. We have doubts over the results and are going to apply to the Constitutional Court over the use of administrative resources," Hakobyan said.

"Without administrative resources, he [acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan - Ed.) obviously would not have been able to form a majority. We have invited the heads of our offices, who have registered various violations in polling stations, in order to have a full understanding of the situation."

According to him, maximum administrative resources were used in the elections, with the military told to vote in favor of Pashinyan.
