Armenian President visits U.S ambassador ahead of Independence Day

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on Friday, July 2 visited the residence of U.S. ambassador to Yerevan Lynne M. Tracy ahead of America's Independence Day.

Sarkissian congratulated Tracy, the Embassy staff and the people of the United States on the national holiday. The two exchanged views on the agenda of Armenian-American relations and the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation.

Independence Day marks the Declaration of Independence of the United States, on July 4, 1776. The Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies were no longer subject (and subordinate) to the monarch of Britain.
